28-30 January 2015. Pasto, Colombia
The event, which will serve to strengthen the international network of intermediary cities, is based on a methodology of peer learning and knowledge exchange. It will also contribute to the consolidation and commitment of cities in the development of national, regional and local urban-rural policies.
The city of Pasto is determined to lead the development of an intermediary cities network in Colombia, thus strengthening the global intermediary cities network in Latin America. In order to do so, Pasto has joined forces with the United Cities and Local Governments Committee on Urban Strategic Planning (UCLG) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), becoming part of the Intermediary Cities Working Group. In this role, they will promote activities that lead to reflections on the diverse challenges that intermediary cities face.
