Following the devastating earthquake in the Pacific on Saturday 16 April, UCLG and members around the world express our support and solidarity with the people and local authorities of both Ecuador and Japan.
We send our condolences to the victims and their families. Our thoughts are also with those who are working around the clock to rescue people still trapped in rumble and those who have lost their homes. UCLG and its members remain available for local authorities who will need to ensure recovery, and who are working tirelessly to provide services in these most difficult circumstances.
