Last days to complete the survey on the localization of SDGs!

With the launch of our 2021 survey, we have officially kicked-off the preparation of our annual report on the localization of the SDGs to the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) of the United Nations. We invite you to contribute to the report with your own SDG localization experiences to make your voices heard.

As you may know, since 2016, UCLG has been facilitating the local and regional governments’ report to the HLPF on behalf of the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments. The next report will be presented in July 2021. The 2021 HLPF is going to address the “Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic”. Consequently, the report will focus on highlighting local and regional governments’ contribution to a more sustainable recovery from COVID-19, with emphasis on SDG 3 (health) and its interaction with the other reported SDGs (1, 2, 8, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17).

To make LRGs’ voices heard, your experience on the localization of the SDGs is the cornerstone on which the report must be built. For this reason, we encourage the participation of LRGs and LGAs from all countries, and particularly from the 44 countries that have committed to submit their Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) to the 2021 HLPF.

Are you a LRG or a LGA? Share your experiences on the localization of the SDGs and complete our survey before 30 April! It is available online in English, French and Spanish.
