On Friday 19 September UCLG’s Secretary General, Josep Roig, participated in the Twitter Chat hosted by the Global Partnership for Effective Co-operation (@devcooperation) on “How to make it happen: shaping International Development Co-operation for the effective implementation of the Post-2015 development framework”.
Using the hashtag #DevCoopLive and following the Global Partnership on Twitter, an audience from all over the world joined panelists, including UCLG’s Secretary General Josep Roig (@uclg_org), for an hour long discussion to share their views on the topic, moderated by international broadcaster Henry Bonsu.
This online event discussed concrete examples of the potential for effective development cooperation and multi-stakeholder partnerships to support the UN Post-2015 Development Agenda. The event opened the discussion to a wider audience via the internet and brings additional insights to the Global Partnership’s high-level side event at the UN General Assembly on 26 September, which explores the same issues.
The chat saw some interesting ideas raised and was very well received by the audience.
