The 19th Conference is dedicated to the theme "Participatory Cities with Full Rights. Participatory Democracy and the Right to the City" and, by this means, opens the call for proposals for sessions in which it is hoped to have strengthened collaboration among members and partners of the network and all participants who wish to be part of the conference.
It will be possible to propose sessions of different formats within the framework of the program and its thematic axes or parallel activities and networking organized by members of the IOPD, academic, political and municipal organizations, as well as networks and social movements, which will be selected by the programming committee based on criteria of quality, diversity, and according to the availability of spaces.
The Conference will also serve as the framework for the awarding of the “Best Practice in Citizens’ Participation Distinction” which the IOPD organises every year.
